Baked Turkey & Cheese Sandwiches

12 small sandwich buns
1 pound deli turkey
12 thin slices provolone cheese
1 stick butter
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. dried mustard
1 Tbsp. poppy seeds

  1. Prepare sandwiches by dividing turkey and cheese evenly among buns.
  2. Place sandwiches on a rimmed baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Remove from heat and pour over sandwiches.
  5. Cover with foil and refrigerate sandwiches overnight. (*Note: this step can be eliminated if necessary)
  6. Uncover sandwiches and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
