Strawberry Shortcake Recipe


½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1⅓ cup sugar
2 egg
2½ teaspoons vanilla extract
½ teaspoon salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk

Topping and middle layer:
16 ounces Whipped cream topping

Strawberry filling layers:
¼ cup sugar
3 pounds fresh strawberries, sliced (reserve a few for decoration if you like)
